The Representative Council of HYY

The Representative Council of HYY uses the highest decision-making power in the Student Union. It is composed of 60 HYY members elected for a two-year term in the Representative Council elections. The 2024-2025 term is exceptionally only a one-year term. The members of the Representative Council or RepCo are called representatives.

The Board of HYY

The Board of HYY uses the executive power in the Student Union and makes the decisions that have not been assigned to the Representative Council. The board also acts as the general meeting of Ylva. The term of the board is one calendar year.

In 2024, the board has 8 members, including Tilda Lassila from the UH Greens.

Ylva 

Ylva - Ylva is the Student Union’s asset manager and runs business activities, which include real estate and financial investments, and tourism and hospitality. Ylva's revenues are used to finance the activities of the Student Union.

The UH Greens are currently represented by Anders Brandt and Eugenie Touma van der Meulen in the Supervisory Board of Ylva. The Supervisory Board supervises the work of Ylva's Board and operational management, and above all the implementation of the Ownership Strategy defined by the Representative Council.

SYL – National Union of University Students in Finland

The Student Unions of each Finnish university are members of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL). SYL acts as a voice and lobbyist of every university student in Finland.

Eugenie Touma van der Meulen from UH Greens is a member of the board of SYL in 2024.
